Description: good Fine+, counterstamps: anchor and horse's head. Though the horse head reflects the usual symbolism of Ecbatana, this crudely styled and countermarked issue is now attributed by Houghton and Lorber to a military mint in Coele-Syria during the Fifth Syrian War. First issued by unskilled workers in a mobile mint, then countermarked after the Seleukid army's retreat in 201/200, likely to reassure the public of its validity.
