Who is Marc R Breitsprecher?

I was born and raised in Racine, Wisconsin and ancient coins have been my passion for 40 years.

1967: I started collecting US coins with a Christmas gift of 5 Indian pennies.

1977: My first ancient coin, a Pontius Pilate bronze, (which I still own) was purchased at the Mid-America show hosted in Milwaukee.

Over the next three decades I amassed an eclectic assortment of ancient coins, buying/selling/trading at shows, via catalogs and MUCH later on the internet.

1996: The internet opened a new and exciting door for us and we started selling coins on Ebay under the username Ancient Imports.

1999: We opened our award-winning site Ancientimports.com with a ton of help from family friend Kendrick Erickson.

2002: We joined VCoins as charter members. Back then VCoins consisted of 20 dealers but with the vision and direction of Bill Puetz it grew to nearly 150 dealers.

2005: I left my career job as a window clerk with the USPS to become a full- time dealer.

2020: We just finished one of our best years ever and look forward to a record-setting 2021!
